Bi-Monthly By Ryan #12
A twice-monthly newsletter by Ryan Jafar Artes
Dear Friends,
I am excited to announce my upcoming schedule of classes! I am very much looking forward to moving into my second year of inspiring by way of teaching. I have learned so much during my first year of teaching classes-- which is l not even over yet!-- and am already applying the lessons I have learned as I move forward.
I am announcing my classes here first! You are the very first to know! I am giving those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter first access to signing up and securing a spot.
Here are my next four class offerings, all of which are virtual:
Holiday Letter Writing as a Spiritual Practice #1, Monday, November 18, 2024 through Monday, January 6, 2025 from 8-9:30pm EST/5-6:30pm PST (8 sessions, open to everyone!). We will spend the first half of our time together writing holiday letters to send out to our communities, or not. For the second half of our time, we will write letters to ourselves reflecting on the past year and manifesting good things to come.
Letter Writing as a Spiritual Practice with Ryan Jafar Artes #2, Sunday, January 5, 2025 through Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 1-2:30pm EST/10-11:30am PST (8 sessions, open to everyone!). This will be the second run of my inaugural class offering, which was such a sweet class I hold so fondly with/in my heart and soul! I will share some of my self designed life saving letter writing routines.
Let’s Thrive Together #1, April 2, 2025 through May 21, 2025 from 8-9:30pm EST/5-6:30pm PST (8 sessions, for adoptees only!). This will be my first official offering of my poetry writing class open to all adoptees. I have taught this class before, and am excited to be adding this offering to my current lineup of classes!
Letters to Our Homes #3, June 2, 2025 through July 21, 2025 from 8-9:30pm EST/5-6:30pm PST (8 sessions, for Black and Brown adoptees only!). This will be the third run of my offering of my letter writing class for my dear community, during which I will offer intuitive prompts based on our discussion before we write, with magical results. The last meeting of this class will be on the Monday before the second annual BIPOC Adoptee Conference in Portland, OR!
Please email me directly to sign up for any of my classes. I am asking for contributions of $300-$600 per class, with the understanding you will pay more if you can afford to do so. I will use these funds to support my activism and art.
As always, thank you for your attention!
Love, Ryan <3
